The earliest version of the band played its first gig in 1977. Since then, it has performed thousands of gigs in hundreds of venues in multiple states. At least 25 different musicians have appeared on stage as members of The Shasta Band over the years. Now that long and colorful history is coming to a close. Gene Smith, Don Abbett, and Peter Pace, the current members of The Shasta Band, have decided to end the band in order to concentrate on their individual musical projects. We'd like to thank all of our fans who supported us over the years. Our website will remain online for awhile, and our links page will direct you to further information about our various individual musical projects. Again, thanks for your support.
